Venan Sondo

Venan A. Sondo is an award‑winning eco‑innovator and eco‑evangelist, Chartered Environmentalist, and Certified ESG and Circular Economy Practitioner and Strategist with proven capacity to convert complex environmental and socio‑economic challenges into practical, investable solutions across Africa. Drawing on a career that spans water engineering, ICT for Sustainability, innovation, and executive leadership, he previously led PwC West Africa’s Sustainability & Climate Change Practice, where he led the consulting team that curated the development of Ghana’s Sustainable Banking Principles and the integration of ESG into the mainstream finance sector in Ghana.
As Co‑Founder and Executive Director of CHAiNT Afrique, Venan now pioneers circular economy and sustainable finance models that address systemic challenges such as plastic and marine pollution, unlock green capital, and create dignified green jobs across the continent. He is widely recognised as a trusted bridge between grassroots communities, policymakers, and investors, and as a leading voice on Africa’s just transition to a low‑carbon, circular economy and equitable access to sustainable living.
