Simone Kwami Ayem, FCCA, is a finance professional with 22 years’ experience in practice and industry. Graduating from the University of Ghana Business School – Legon, with a Bachelor of Science (BSc. Admin) in Banking & Finance, Simone has over 19 years’ experience as a Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA-UK), with 19 of those years spent working in the mining industry.He started his career working for PwC Ghana and did a brief stint with PwC Nigeria before joining Gold Fields Ghana Limited for half a decade. He later joined Asanko Gold Ghana Limited where he worked for close to 12 years and exited as Head of Finance, Ghana. He is currently the Regional Finance Manager at Asante Gold Corporation, the parent company of the Bibiani and Chirano Mines.He loves to read, enjoys all forms of music and is passionate about savings & investments, wealth creation and loves the theatre arts.
