Percival Ofori Ampomah

Percival Ofori Ampomah is the General Manager of the Venture Capital Trust Fund (VCTF) in Ghana, where he leads strategic investment and financial initiatives to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). With over 20 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, asset management, and corporate law across Ghana, the UK, and the US, he is a recognized expert in business valuation, investment appraisal, and financial strategy.
He has played a pivotal role in expanding Ghana’s venture capital ecosystem, helping grow the sector from a nascent market to one with approximately seven billion in total assets, supported by 14 funds managed by VCTF. His leadership includes launching a US$30.3 million women-led fund in partnership with Zinari Women’s Capital and spearheading efforts to standardize private equity and venture capital valuation practices in Ghana.
A certified valuation analyst (CVA), he holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Durham, an Honours LLB from GIMPA Law School, and a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from KNUST. He also completed executive education at Harvard Business School and UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. In October 2025, he joined the Board of Directors of Impact Investing Ghana (IIGh), further solidifying his influence in driving inclusive and sustainable finance in West Africa.
