Owusu is a New York Times-featured entrepreneur. He is founder of FreezeLink, which is distributing food and medicine to the next 1 Billion Africans using AI and cold chain.  Owusu spent a decade designing and transforming supply chains for global companies like Unilever, Procter & Gamble, and Nestle. He later led the USD$ 3 billion transformation program at the UK Ministry of Justice to improve performance of food supply chains, among others.  The son and grandson of farmers, Owusu was moved to found FreezeLink in 2018. The company eliminates food and medicine waste in Africa, by enabling organizations to plan, finance and execute trade in perishables. Since then, FreezeLink has achieved transformative growth. In 2021 it became the first company in the world to distribute the COVAX vaccines, in the global fight against Covid-19. Besides connecting farmers, and factories, to global markets, through cold chain, FreezeLink counts Unilever, Shoprite and General Mills as its customers.  Awarded an MBA from Imperial College London, Owusu earned a bachelor degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was one of 8 graduates selected out of 2,000 to receive a Senior Honor Award. Most recently, Owusu was selected by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Foundry Fellow, which recognises Africa’s leading entrepreneurial ecosystem-builders.  Finally, he is the first ever African to be appointed to the Board of Governors for Global Cold Chain Foundation (GCCF), which is the sector’s leading industry foundation, worldwide.
