Maame Yaa Owusu-Amoah is a Technical Specialist in Digital Finance and Ecosystems at the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), with over nine years of experience advancing access to finance, digital innovation, and private sector development.
She works at the intersection of technology, finance, and development, designing and scaling solutions that unlock capital and expand economic opportunity for micro, small, and growing businesses.
Driven by a strong conviction that African businesses have the potential to thrive when the right systems and capital are in place, her career spans deploying mobile-based tools to improve access to information and decision-making across Africa, building cross-continental investment and technology partnerships at the Israel Economic and Trade Mission in Ghana, and leading investor engagement, blended finance, and ecosystem development initiatives at UNCDF. In her current role, she focuses on mobilising capital into underserved markets and shaping the conditions that enable innovative and women-led businesses to grow.
She has built and managed high-impact partnerships across governments, regulators, development agencies, and private sector actors, influencing how policy, capital, and innovation converge to better serve underserved markets.
