KOJO Akoto Boateng is a transdisciplinary professional and sustainability practitioner with over 15 years of experience driving growth, innovation, and social impact across diverse sectors in Ghana. In his current role at the Millennium Development Authority, he coordinates the development of infrastructure on 50,000 acres of Economic Enclaves, aimed at significantly enhancing domestic food production and national food security. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Ghana Food Movement, a network of young chefs, farmers, food producers, scientists, entrepreneurs, nutritionists, students, and other food experts working together to tackle big problems in Ghana’s food system. Previously as a Director/GM at WeComm Agri-Media and Head of Sustainability & Partnerships at Newage Agric Solutions, he coordinated the construction of a commercial rice mill and brokered impactful partnerships with social investors to fund over 700 smallholder farmers. At Citi FM/TV, he was one of the main voices on the award-winning Citi Breakfast Show, where he provided deep insights on various issues of national interest. He also held various positions including Head of Research, Head of New Media, Events & Promotions, and handled special projects including the construction of two studio buildings in Adabraka and Tesano (all in Accra), the 100-acre Citi Farms project, The Baptist School Complex girls dormitory block, the Korleman community water project, among others. As Founder of Aya Sustainable Solutions, he oversees a cashew plantation and two integrated farm projects on 1000 acres of productive land. He is also the founder of Stimuluz Technologies, a tech startup that delivers cutting-edge digital solutions to clients like the AfCFTA Secretariat among others. Driven by his passion for social causes, he co founded The Generosity Club to mobilize funds and service hours for startups and public interest projects. He holds a BSc. in Building Technology, complemented by leadership training with the Johns Hopkins University, the BBC, the World Bank, The German African Leadership Academy and the Coca-Cola Company. He loves driving around Ghana, swimming, DJing, and singing with live bands as a hobby.
