Ing. Israel Boakye Acheampong possesses a robust background and extensive expertise in Environmental-Chemical Engineering, particularly focusing on research, development, and innovation within the Environmental Sanitation sector. His educational credentials include both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the esteemed Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).With over a decade of experience in the Environmental Sanitation industry, he has significantly contributed to projects centered on waste and resource management, with a particular emphasis on value addition. He currently holds the position of Acting Director of Engineering Design and Projects at Africa Environmental Sanitation Consult, the primary consultancy arm of the Jospong Group of Companies. Ing. Acheampong is furthering his academic qualifications by pursuing a Ph.D. in Agro-Environmental Engineering at KNUST. His research, titled “Pyrolysis of Polyolefin Plastics to Recover Energy,” Despite his primary involvement in the private sector, he has maintained active collaborations with the public sector, international agencies such as The British Council, GIZ, the World Bank, and Danida, as well as academic institutions. These partnerships highlight his ability to bridge the gap between various sectors and leverage diverse expertise for comprehensive solutions in environmental sanitation.
