Dr. Ishmael Dodoo

Dr. Ishmael Nii Amanor Dodoo (Dr. Ish) is the Director and Head of Innovative finance, (& investments), Partnership and Markets, of the 24 Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development (24 H+) Secretariat; Office of the President-Ghana. He has over 25 years of experience in 51 countries (36 in Africa), shaping policy design and operational implementation on Africa’s international diplomacy, human and economic development.
Dr. Ish has held numerous high-level strategic advisory roles with multilateral, government, private, and international development organizations, including the Executive office of the United Nations Secretary-General, Office of the Assistant Secretary General, Offices of the UN Secretary-General Special Adviser for the Sahel region, UNDP Africa Bureau, Offices of African Eminent persons, and ProForest Ltd where he developed international trade and supply chain standards (ESG) and round tables for commodities.
Dr. Ish is a co-founder of CO2 Capital Africa Project, a leading blockchain carbon market development and trading company with ambitions to generate $1 Billion in development financing to support African countries. He is also the co-founder of Tertiary Education Scholarship Trust Fund (www.testforafrica.org), which enables gifted students who would otherwise miss out on a university education to get a degree, unlocking their potential and empowering them to uplift their communities.
Dr. Ish is affirmative about his Christian values and views himself as a spirit-empowered leader determined to impact the African continent with transformational change. Rising from humble beginnings, Dr. Ish exemplifies what can be achieved with vision, values, and a can-do determination to push boundaries for inclusive and sustainable development. He has become a voice for youth empowerment and leadership, charting a roadmap for pragmatic actions to promote ethics and excellence in political governance and enacting quantum leap policies for achieving Africa’s social and economic transformation.
Dr Ish holds a BSc. Degree in Natural Resources Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, an MSc. in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford, where he was awarded the Norman and Ivy Lloyd Africa Fellowship, and was awarded Doctoral Honorari causa (Public Administration) for his thought leadership and intellectual contribution by the founder of the Adams Smith University of America. He is a doctoral fellow at Oral Roberts University for Strategic Leadership.
