Nabeel Adum-Atta

Nabeel is a Development Economist, Management Consultant, and Agribusiness Specialist with nearly 20 years of experience spanning enterprise development, agricultural value chains, trade and investment facilitation, market systems development, sustainability, regenerative agriculture, and carbon finance. He currently serves as Partnerships, Entrepreneurship & Investments Lead at the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC), where he drives strategic partnerships and investment readiness for climate-focused SMEs. His geographic experience covers Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Rwanda, and The Netherlands.
Previously, Nabeel was Strategic Partnerships Lead for USAID’s Mobilizing Finance in Agriculture (Ghana), developing strategies to unlock agricultural financing for smallholder actors. He led the FCDO’s review of Ghana’s agriculture sector to identify opportunities for smallholder resilience, increased investment, and long-term carbon mitigation. As Head of SME Development & Access to Finance for the Dutch and Swiss government-funded Sustainable West Africa Palm Oil Programme (SWAPP II) at Solidaridad West Africa, and as a consultant to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), he has deep experience designing business models and access-to-finance solutions that work for smallholders and agribusinesses alike.
Nabeel has worked extensively with government ministries (MoFA, MoTrade, MoF in Ghana; Ministries of Agriculture and Commerce in Liberia), development partners (USAID, USDA, FAO, FCDO, IFC, AfDB), and private sector institutions. He is skilled at managing complex stakeholder relationships, bridging policy, finance, and enterprise to deliver inclusive, climate-resilient agricultural transformation.
