Mr. Daniel Aforo is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Somera Farms, which he founded in July 2006. He was the sole shareholder until December 2024, when ISF Ghana Venture Capital acquired 35% of the company. He is a 62-year old agronomist with over 20 years of working experience in agribusiness. Mr. Aforo holds a Postgraduate Degree in Poultry Husbandry and Milling Technology from the Barneveld College in the Netherlands, a Diploma in Leadership from Bethany International University in Singapore, a BSc. in Agriculture, and a Diploma in Education, both from the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. He was adjudged the Regional Best Crop Farmer in 2022, Municipal Best Farmer in 2018, and District Best Oil Palm Farmer in 2007. His commitment and dedication have been instrumental in the success of the company over the past 19 years.

Daniel Aforo is driven by a passion to create jobs for the youth and vulnerable people of Techimantia and its neighboring towns. He is well-known in the town by his company name (Somera). He maintains strong relationships with local leaders and is a pillar in the communities where his farms are located. He currently manages 60 acres of the Tepa Forest Reserve, as part of a broader government program, through the Forestry Commission, to redevelop forest reserves.
