Speaker Profile

Eric Akurugu is a development finance professional with extensive experience in facilitating access to finance and providing general Business Development support to MSMEs. Eric is a development practitioner who has worked in the development space for over 20 years with much focus on financial services, grants management and entrepreneurship development.

Apart from the development work, he is also a former banker with seven years banking experience. He holds a Masters in microfinance from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.

He is currently the Snr. Small Business and Financial Services Officer for the MEDA GROW2 project in Tamale. His role involves facilitating access to finance for project clients and leading the Business development initiative of the project.
